Location: Ellensburg, Washington

Organization Overview:

Friends in Service to Humanity (FISH) has been the food resource in Kittitas County, Washington for 54 years. It is the only Food Bank in the county, the largest food pantries, and a food service providing more than 60,000 meals to seniors, home bound and other residents of the county.

Job Summary:

FISH is seeking a Controller to oversee the financial operations of the organization. Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with Clifton, Larsen, Allen, FISH’s external accounting firm, the Controller will ensure financial integrity, compliance, and transparency in all aspects of our financial management. Responsibilities include financial reporting, developing and managing the $4,000,000 annual budget, cash flow management, and compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards. Managing compliance for federal, state and foundations grant spending and reporting. The Controller will also manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing leadership to ensure the financial health and sustainability of our organization.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

· Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management of a non-profit organization preferred.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.

· Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

· Experience managing compliance specific to federal, state and foundation grants preferred.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation:

This is a full-time position with a salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health and generous PTO.
