Azimuth Counseling PLLC is clinical practice providing critical rural access to assessment, treatment & advocacy to individuals (16y+) with neurodiverse diagnoses, tendencies or traits. We offer education, strategies and recommendations to a client's trusted system of support, including, a: partner, family member, educator, employer, healthcare provider, or skilled professionals.
Neurodiversity refers to the variations within every human being's neurological, sensory and nervous systems, or how they are ''wired.'' Naturally, a person's wiring impacts their physical, social, emotional, and occupational development throughout their entire life. Current known neurodiverse conditions are: Autism / Spectrum (Asperger's), Sensory Processing, ADD/ADHD, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, and Tourette's syndrome.
Often individuals with these systems experience other disruptions throughout their lives, such as: inconsistent self-care routines,
irregular sleep & eating patterns, lack of executive functioning & pacing, strained communication & relationships, persistent difficulty in school or work settings, sensory overload, irritability, outbursts, social or performance-based anxiety & panic, depression, avoidance, isolation, shame, & lack of confidence.
We are allied with neurodiverse BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folx, survivors of neglect, abuse, trauma, grief, loss, & academic / employment burnout. We are experienced with the complexity burdening neurodiverse veterans, first responders, healthcare providers,
