Join us for the 22nd Annual Kruisin' Kittitas Car Show & Burnouts on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in downtown Kittitas, WA! Known as one of the only events of its kind in Washington State, the award-winning Burnouts Competition draws participants and spectators from across the region for an unforgettable display of horsepower and tire-smoking action on Main Street.
Online early bird registration is available at a discounted rate of $25.00 per vehicle. Day-of registrations increase to $30.00, space permitting. If you are also participating in the Car Show you must fill out a separate registration found here.

Burnouts Rules & Regulations
All burnout vehicles must be street legal, have a valid driver's license, minimum insurance coverage, a driveshaft loop installed, and pass a safety inspection before competing.
- Registration & Entry
- Contestants must pre-register and pay the entry fee before 2:00 p.m. on August 15, 2026.
- A liability waiver and announcement card must be completed before receiving a contestant number, which is required for participation.
- Driver Requirements
- A valid driver's license and minimum insurance coverage as required by Washington State Law are mandatory.
- Minimum age to participate is 18 years old.
- Safety & Conduct
- Seatbelts must be worn at all times.
- No passengers are allowed in burnout vehicles.
- All drivers must pass a breathalyzer test before participating. If a driver appears under the influence of alcohol or drugs in any way, they will be removed from the competition.
- Vehicle Safety Inspection
- All vehicles must pass a basic safety inspection
- If a safety official deems a vehicle unsafe, it will not be allowed to compete.
- A driveshaft loop is required on all burnout vehicles.
- Burnout Rules
- Each contestant is allowed one burnout attempt - no practice runs or re-runs
- This is a slow rolling burnout competition - standing still is not permitted.
- Awards are determined by smoke production and the length of tire marks left on the pavement.
- There are three competition classes open to all, each with a 1st place winner:
- Pro Class (previous winners and challengers)
- Amateur Class (new challenger)
- Truck Class
- Course Guidelines & Safety
- Drivers must follow the predetermined course and stop accelerating immediately when signaled by safety officials.
- Vehicles must remain centered on the double yellow line.
- If a vehicle veers off course or moves in a way deemed unsafe, the driver will be flagged to stop. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
- Burnout Parking & Staging
- A designated burnout parking area will be provided where drivers will receive instructions and safety inspections.
- Burnouts will be conducted by class, so ensure you are registered in the correct category.
- Final Compliance
- All Participants must follow the directions of safety officials and the Pit Crew at all times
- Failure to comply, will result in immediate disqualification
