As a part of worldwide Earth Week, CWU and the local community are teaming up for the 41st annual Yakima River Cleanup. Volunteers will be able to enjoy a sunny Saturday morning restoring the shoreline and renovating campsites along the Yakima River April 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Transportation, breakfast and lunch will all be provided for all volunteers, as well as a free t-shirt for those who have registered by April 9 by visiting www.cwu.edu/leadership-engage. This event is sponsored by the Center for Leadership and Community Engagement (CLCE), the Bureau of Land Management, the City of Ellensburg, Fish and Wildlife and Mid-Columbia Fisheries.
