Chavez Remembering & Celebrating week, come help kick off a week of celebrations at CWU dedicated to honoring the life and accomplishments of Cesar E. Chavez Tuesday, April 22 from noon to 2 p.m. in the Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC) Pit. This birthday celebration is free, open to everyone and will feature music, food and lots of cake! An American farm worker, labor leader and civil rights activist, Chavez co-founded the United Farm Workers organization to improve treatment, pay and working conditions for farm workers. Join in on the fun and celebrate that life of a man whose accomplishments changed the American labor movement.
